Racing for Water Missions International

I will be competing in my first Ironman Triathlon November 2nd, 2013 in Panama City Florida. Rather than just race for myself I wanted to give back and race for a purpose. I have teamed up with the Historic Rotary Club of Charleston, together we will raise money for Water Missions International. Your donated dollars will provide a water system for a village in Peru.

MY ROTARY DISTRICT WILL MATCH YOUR DONATION – I am proud to say that I have been a member of the Historic Rotary Club of Charleston for the past 9 years. The great thing about Rotary is that the money you donate will be matched by the District so the MORE YOU GIVE the MORE THEY GIVE.

An Ironman Triathlon is a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and a 26.2 mile run – a total of 140.6 miles all in the same day.

Suggested donation amounts – Full – $140.60, Half – $70.30, Swim – $24.00, Bike – $112.00, Run – $26.20 – or give whatever you can.

Water Missions International is a nonprofit engineering organization based in Charleston South Carolina, providing sustainable safe water and sanitation solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas. Every day, close to 1 billion people wake up to another day without safe drinking water. Children are sick and weak. There is a constant struggle to find the most basic of human needs. Generations of poverty grip millions and won’t let go. The lack of safe water and adequate sanitation worldwide is a crisis.

Thank you for donating. You are helping to change lives and change communities around the world!
