Hootie and the Blowfish Homegrown Weekend

 August 12 – 13, 2011


Marking their ninth anniversary at Family Circle Stadium, Hootie & the Blowfish will come together for a two-night musical engagement kicking off Friday, August 12th with opening act Toad the Wet Sprocket.  The weekend continues with a daytime festival on Saturday, August 13 beginning at 2 pm featuring Ken Block & Andrew Copeland of Sister Hazel as well as other national and regional acts (TBD).  Hootie and the Blowfish will wrap up the festival with a performance Saturday night at Family Circle Stadium starting at 7 pm.  (Opening act to be determined).  Tickets may be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com


Friday, August 12th:  Family Circle Stadium – Gates open at 6 pm; Show starts at 7 pm
Saturday, August 13th:   Grand Lawn Festival: Gates open at 1 pm; Acts begin at 2 pm (must have a Saturday ticket to enter)

General Information:

Family Circle Stadium: Gates open at 6:00pm; The Hootie and the Blowfish Show starts at 7:00pm

*Fans can leave between 2:00pm – 5:30pm but will not be allowed back in the gates until 6 pm for the evening show.

 ***In addition, on Saturday, August 13 Hootie & the Blowfish will once again partner with the Charleston County School District for the fifth annual Hootie’s Homegrown Roundup: Back to School Basics, a back to school program providing children with school supplies and other services necessary to be well-prepared to start the 2011/2012 school year. The event will take place from 11 AM to 3 PM at Burke High School, located at 244 President Street in Charleston.***
